Nearly 25,000 households in south-east Queensland found themselves lacking electricity on Monday morning after powerful weather events impacted the state, producing wind gusts reaching 109km/h.

Homeowners witnessed giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that multiple regions across the state had been affected by significant hail.
